To enable course members:
- to enthuse learners with the 'Can Do' attitude and aims;
- to understand how and why the teaching of systematic Synthetic Phonics is effective in the teaching of reading, writing and spelling;
- to have confidence in their ability to deliver Synthetic Phonics whatever their own skills or backgrounds;
- to recognise the natural progression from phonetic competence to the exploration of English grammar structures;
